Possibility to add (default) expire date

Hey.

Most of the times I would expect to do not expire for my files, but then i have files that i want to share only for few minutes.

It would be great to have that option. I would not mind if the download link would go through some proxy by default.

thanks for your suggestion. Please help me understand it better: Are you talking about the link expiry date that can be setup with Dropshare Safe (right click on upload, "Create access-restricted URL"), file expiration within Dropshare Cloud (that can be set up in the dashboard at https://dropshare.cloud), or general file expiration for all storage providers?

Got it! I decided against implementing file expiry since that would involve Dropshare automatically connecting to the storage and deleting the file in the background, and only work when Dropshare is running, connected to the internet, etc.

As an alternative to that and to solve the issue mentioned before, I introduced Dropshare Safe and the possibility to generate special links with an expiry date to the uploaded files. Those work with (nearly) all storage providers and do not need Dropshare to be running for the expiry to work. Does that work for you?

Yeah. That is perfect! Only thing is I cannot find any information how to onboard to dropshare safe at the moment.

You can right-click on any upload in the upload history and select "Create access-restricted URL". This will ask you for an expiry date and/or password and create a Dropshare Safe URL for you. :)
