I have been exploring different digital tools recently, and something I find interesting is how many options are available for even very specific tasks.
PDF tools are a good example. Depending on the project, someone might need a viewer, an editor, annotation features, conversion options, or a way to integrate PDF functionality into a web application. Projects like EmbedPDF make it interesting to see how developers approach these different requirements.
I also spend time researching online tools outside the PDF space. For example, I have recently been looking at SanpTikk.io, which focuses on helping users save TikTok videos for offline use.
What I find interesting is that both types of tools solve very different problems, but the basic expectations are often similar. People generally want something that is easy to understand, works reliably, performs well, and does not add unnecessary complexity.
For developers and users here, how do you usually decide which tool is right for a particular task?
Do you mainly look at features, performance, documentation, ease of integration, community support, or something else?
I would be interested to hear how others evaluate tools before deciding to use them.
