align.tokens/rank_similar/similar_payload take an agent filter — only that agent's tool steps align. CLI, MCP schema and the mcp-tools artifact carry it; payload names the scope. A mid-round variable-reuse incident (cli content written over align.py) was caught by import and reverted from git; re-applied atomically.
