Description of the bug
If a bomb cube explodes while redirecting a laser, and that laser then meets a reflection cube as a result, the game entirely crashes. This happens both in-editor while quick testing, and in the published chamber.
Expected behavior
This interaction shouldn't behave much differently from fizzling the bomb cube-- and I've actually tested that too. With the same setup, respawning / fizzling the bomb cube does not trigger this crash. The bomb cube gets removed, and the laser can continue forward until it meets the reflection cube, where it gets redirected as normal. The bomb cube exploding should yield the same result, rather than crashing.
Steps to reproduce
- Place a reflection cube somewhere in the path of a laser, so it redirects the beam.
- Grab a bomb cube and set it anywhere that intercepts the beam EARLIER than the reflection cube.
Proper placement (will consistently trigger a crash):
Improper placement (will not cause the crash):
- If done properly, once the bomb cube explodes, the laser will directly hit the reflector, and crash the game.
Logs and Reports
Additional information
I've done this with bomb cubes set to both 03 and 05 sec timers, and that didn't affect the consistency of the crash at all. I haven't tested the other timers but I imagine it (probably) wouldn't change much.
I'm using the default Portal 2 style, I haven't tested any other styles.
