Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I'm trying to install or update Angry IP Scanner on a managed corporate machine where I do not have local administrator privileges. Currently, the standard installer triggers a User Account Control (UAC) prompt requiring admin rights to proceed. This blocks standard users from installing the software or keeping it up to date without raising a ticket to the IT department.
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like a user-level installer option that does not require administrative rights. This could be achieved by adding an "Install for me only" option during the setup wizard, which installs the application into the user's %LOCALAPPDATA% directory (on Windows) instead of system-wide directories like C:\Program Files, bypassing the need for a UAC elevation prompt.
Describe alternatives you've considered
The primary alternative is using the portable standalone executable. While this works for running the software, it lacks standard OS integration, such as Start Menu shortcuts, file associations, and an uninstaller, which makes it less convenient for daily use and harder to track than a properly installed application.
Additional context
Providing a per-user installation method aligns with modern deployment practices used by applications like VS Code, Google Chrome, and Slack. It significantly improves accessibility and security by allowing standard users to manage their own utility tools without requiring elevated system permissions.
