Drag-and-dropping a tab after clicking on a document in the documents panel causes the last tab to be activated/switched to.
Steps to reproduce the behaviour
- Open 5 or more documents (new documents are fine)
- Show the Side Pane and select the documents panel
- Click on one of the documents in the documents panel
- Drag and drop one of the (notebook) tabs in the main area left or right (to reorder the tabs)
Expected behaviour
The drag-and-dropped tab remains focused/active.
Actual behaviour
The last tab in the window becomes focused/active. I believe each tab between the current tab and the last tab are focused in turn until the last tab in the window, but I haven't confirmed this.
MATE general version
1.26.2
Package version
1.26.1-2.1 (Ubuntu MATE), 1.26.1-2build3 (Linux Mint)
Linux Distribution
Ubuntu MATE 24.10, Linux Mint 22
Link to bugreport of your Distribution (requirement)
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pluma/+bug/2085390
Other information
This also occurs in Xed (linuxmint/xed#662).
I'm opening this right after opening the Launchpad bug as I don't think this is related to MATE/distro.
