Signal auth failure seperate from general connection failure

If connection fails, I'd like to try again and/or tell the user the connection failed.

If auth fails, I need to ask the user to re-enter their password.

Right now the API doesn't allow me to tell the difference between these two cases.

I'm looking at this more deeply and I think that just checking if error == 0 is enough to know this is a disconnect due to auth failure and not due to any error (unless I explicitly asked for disconnect, which i would know). If that's true it would just mean we need to make sure to reset error to 0 when starting a new connection attempt.
